My name is Robert Leon Nevels. I was born on June 21, 1991 and left this world on May 11, 2020. I am survived by my mother Connie Nevels Duncan of Jackson, Louisiana, who loved and prayed over me every day of my life, and my father Mike McDowell of Louisiana, who loved and tried to guide me.
I am survived by my grandmother Virginia McDowell of Ethel, Louisiana, who loved and adored me.
I am survived by my siblings who I loved and will miss Crystal McDowell (w.t) of Eldorado, Arkansas, Michael Nevels (Michelle) of Petersburg, Tn, and Alaina Nevels of Jackson, Louisiana.
My siblings gave me some of my greatest joys of my life, my nieces and nephews. I will miss them a great deal and hope they always remember how much their uncle Robert loved them. Taylor McDowell, Evin Morgan, Jaylon Smith, Jordan Smith, Jeremy Smith, Neveah Smythia-Nevels, Johnathan, and Lane Nevels.
I am proceeded in death by my grandparents Minnie and Robert Nevels, and my grandfather Elbert E.C. McDowell.
I lived, I loved, and I laughed. I lived life on my terms and I never let anything slow me down. I want my family to know they are loved, and I am waiting for them on the other side.

Oh sweetheart you will forever be in peace now. To touch so many peoples hearts means you were loved unconditionally. As much as your mom will miss you she will no longer worry it your safe, eating, taking care of yourself and that will bring her the peace she needs to get through you leaving her.
