St. Amant

Brent Reed Singletary, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, graced this world on December 19, 1953, in Gonzales, LA. He embarked on his final journey from his home in St. Amant on April 18, 2024, at the age of 70, surrounded by the love of his family. Brent's life was a testament of simplicity in life and the joy found in cherished moments with loved ones.

Brent proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, demonstrating unwavering courage and dedication to the values he held dear. His service was a reflection of his deep sense of duty and honor, and he carried the memories of his time in the military with him throughout his life. His heart overflowed with love and pride for his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored beyond measure. His eyes lit up with every laugh and smile they brought into his life, their presence filling his days with boundless happiness.

Nature was Brent's sanctuary, whether he was hunting in the woods, fishing, or sharing stories around a campfire. His passions were as varied as they were vibrant, each one a reflection of his zest for life. From the golf courses to the thrill of car races and sports, Brent approached every endeavor with an infectious enthusiasm that inspired all those around him. He loved spending family vacations at the beach. Whether swimming in the ocean or the pool, as long as he was spending time with family. Brent was filled with the Holy Ghost and attended Landmark Church of Livingston. He cherished his bond with his Pastor, Bro. Malcolm Meyers.

Brent leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will echo through the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Janice Mire Singletary; his devoted children & grandchildren, Jason Singletary, Phillip Singletary (Ashley; Caden, Amelia & Wyatt), Brena Randle (Tommy; Tillman, Adilyn, Archer & Annebelle), Byron Thomas (Courtney; Braylin, Hayden & Leavey), and Daniel Thomas; his cherished siblings, Glenn Singletary (Lisa), Neal Singletary, and Gayle McGee (Jody).
