Dean James "Weighfish" Gautreau Sr.

Dean James "Weighfish" Gautreau, Sr. died Saturday, April 20, 2024, at his home in Gonzales. Age 63, He was a resident of Gonzales and native of New Roads. Dean enjoyed fishing, bowling, racing, golf, pool, cards, cooking, dancing, music, and socializing. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by wife, Tina (Achord); son, Dean “DJ” Gautreau, Jr.; stepsons, Jeremy Langlois, Marc Garza, and Cory Garza; father, Stanley J. Gautreau; sister Kathy Labatut; brother, Robert Gautreau and his wife, Lisa (Jarreau) as well as many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Louise (Hebert) Gautreau and brother, Stanley J. Gautreau, Jr.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Dean's life will be announced via Facebook soon.
