William Haile "Scotty" Scott Jr.

William Haile “Scotty” Scott Jr., born June 9, 1943, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2024 at the age of 80 at his home in Gonzales, LA.  He was born in Richmond, Virginia.  He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 35 years, Sandy Lemoine Scott, and son Keith Lemoine (Kathy).  He is also survived by his sisters, Stella Scott David (married to Scotty’s close friend, Robert J. David) and Susan Scott Donham.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William Haile Scott, Sr. and Trina Olinde Scott, and brother in law, Charles L. Donham. 

 

Scotty was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in New Roads and LSU in Baton Rouge.  Scotty was a life-long LSU Tiger fan who loved to golf, duck hunt, and spend time with Sandy and their beloved dogs, Cocoa and Beej. 

 

Services will be held at St. Theresa of Avila Church (1022 N. Burnside Ave, Gonzales, LA) on Wednesday , February 28, 2024, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. followed by a Catholic Burial Mass at 11:00 a.m.

 

The family has requested that memorial tributes be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in the name of William H. Scott, Jr.
