William M. Russell

William M. Russell, age 69, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 10:20 p.m. at Baton Rouge General Hospital. William was truly one of a kind. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing him knows there will never be another person quite like him. 

He had a larger-than-life personality, an unforgettable sense of humor, and a way of making people laugh when they least expected it. Whether he was telling one of his many stories, cracking a joke, or simply being himself, William left a lasting impression on everyone he met. One of William’s favorite sayings was, “Life goes on… Tra la la.” Those simple words reflected the way he chose to live—with humor, resilience, and the ability to find light even during life’s most difficult moments. 

William was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Rita D. Bryant and Lloyd Russell; his son, Ryan Russell; his brother, Lloyd “Rusty” Russell; his grandson, Landon Russell; and his nephews, David Jackson and William “Billy” Russell. 

He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Kimberly; his sister, Andrea Morales (“Missy”); his sister-in-law, Sharon Russell (“Sherry”); his nephew, Matthew Russell; as well as many cousins, extended family members, lifelong friends, and countless others whose lives were forever touched by his unique spirit.

 William’s laughter, stories, kindness, and unforgettable personality will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. While he will be deeply missed, the memories he created and the joy he brought to others will never be forgotten.

 A celebration of William’s life will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at: 10636 White Oak Drive Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70815 Rest easy, William. You were deeply loved, and your memory will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives you touched.
