Virginia Joyce Domino Bell, 90, of Whitehall, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, at home surrounded by her family. She was born January 16, 1935, in Morgan City, Louisiana, to Lee Kelly Domino and Angela “Lena” Fiorella Domino.
Virginia’s love of cooking defined most of her life, both professionally and at home. She owned and operated a café and pizzeria in Head of Island, Louisiana, and later prepared meals for children at the Naval Air Station Moffett Field and Onizuka Air Force Daycare Center in San Jose, California, where she proudly got even the pickiest eaters to enjoy their beets. Upon returning to Louisiana in 2004, she continued working at Val’s Marina Restaurant in Head of Island until finally retiring at age 80.
She enjoyed playing Bourré and poker, bingo, solving crossword puzzles, and watching classic movies.
