Virgil J. Bercegeay "Peewee"

Virgil Joseph Bercegeay, born February 4, 1928, in Gonzales, LA, passed away on April 15, 2025, at the age of 97.

Virgil is preceded in death by his first wife, Audrey LeBourgeois Bercegeay (Married on August 21, 1945), his second wife, Ruby Dozier Bercegeay (Married on July 5, 1997); his son and daughter-in-law, Ernie and Mona Bercegeay; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Bercegeay.

He is survived by his children, Jim, Wayne, Rodney (JoAnn), Patty, and Tammy (Numa); 13 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at St. Mark Catholic Church, 42021 Highway 621, Gonzales, LA 70737, on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 10:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm. Burial to follow at Hope Haven Gardens of Memory, 604 E Highway 30, Gonzales, LA 70737.
