Born on January 11, 1947, he was 79. He grew up in Baton Rouge and Jackson, Louisiana. He enjoyed playing sports in school, including football and wrestling, and served as a cheerleader during his time at LSU (SAE Fraternity).
He enjoyed spending time with friends and a good brew. He met and fell in love with his wife of 46 years, Joyce Roundtree Creaghan, while working in support enforcement for Office of Community Services and later served as Director of Emergency Preparedness for the State of Louisiana and DynMcDermott Petroleum.
He was a man of great faith and volunteered with St Patrick Church’s prison outreach and Knights of Columbus, where he enjoyed cooking giant meals for church events. He is survived by his children Max Thibodeaux (Monique), Colin Creaghan (Hensley), Molly Creaghan Waugh (Paul) and Savanah Creaghan, granddaughter Zoe Marceaux, and siblings Jacquelyn Creaghan, James “Jimmy” Creaghan (Lydia) and Francis “Bubba” Creaghan Jr. (Sidney). He is preceded in death by parents Francis “Frank” Creaghan Sr. and Myrtle “Kate” Coxe Creaghan.
Tommy was a kind, generous soul who was quick to smile and never met a stranger. He dearly loved his family and will be greatly missed. There will be a memorial mass at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, with the date pending. He will be laid to rest at The Garden of Peace Memorial Columbarium at Our Lady of Mercy.
