Tom was born on April 12, 1953 in Franklin, LA. He died April 11, 2026 at his residence in Denham Springs, LA due to complications from diabetes.
He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Ruby Cooper.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years Terry Cooper, sisters Brenda Cooper and Marie Buteaux as well as many nieces and nephews.
Tom worked for many years in the field of industrial coatings and held a certification from the National Association of Corrosive Engineers (NACE). One of his favorite pastimes was spending hours working in his shop. He was an old muscle car enthusiast and was very proud of his 1968 Pontiac GTO. We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the many wonderful health care professionals that have provided services to him over the years.
Mass will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church located at 445 Marquette Ave in Baton Rouge on April 30th. Visitation will begin at 9 AM with mass at 10 AM.
