Terrance "Terry" Paul Vezinat, a quiet family man and cherished member of the Prairieville community, passed away on November 21, 2025. He was born on September 3, 1961, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Terrance Paul Vezinat Sr. and Betty West.
Terry proudly served in the Air Force, where his commitment and dedication were evident. His love for nature flourished through his hobbies of deer hunting and bass fishing, activities that allowed him to enjoy the tranquility of the outdoors.
Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Laura "Lucy" Brown Vezinat, and his children, Hope Vezinat, Drake Daigle, Adam Blackwell, and Chris Blackwell. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Malaina Daigle, and numerous nieces and nephews who cherished their time with him.
Within his family, Terry was supported by his siblings: Lisa Brinigier, Keith Vezinat, Tonya Vezinat, Craig Vezinat, Timothy Vezinat, Christopher Vezinat, Terrance "Tj" Vezinat, and Brandon Vezinat. The bond they shared reflected the values he held dear throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dwayne Vezinat, his stepfather, Kenny Plaisance, his maternal grandmother, Armantean Templet, his paternal grandmother, Pete Bazaar, and his in-laws, Adam P. Brown and Elizabeth "Peaches" Brown, alongside his uncle, Gene West.
Terry’s legacy of love and quiet strength will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit and the unwavering support he provided to his family.
