Suzy Baker Savoy was born on June 19,1969, a Dutchtown native, and resident of Meadville, Mississippi. She passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 56, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
She was a 1987 graduate of East Ascension High School. She married the love of her life, Danny Savoy and raised her family in St. Amant, Louisiana.
Suzy loved her family, a good book, fishing with Danny, and spending time with her children and grandchildren at their home in Mississippi. She will be most remembered for her humility, unselfishness and charitable nature. Suzy is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Yvonne Savoy, grandparents Reeve and Eloise Barrow, Edna Mae Brady and Earl Baker.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Daniel Lee Savoy, three children: Bobbie Savoy Cockburn (Matthew), Pete Savoy and Corrie Savoy (Christian); five grandchildren: Blayke, Jude, Leigh, Kasen and Scottie Grace; her parents Susan Matlock and Phil Baker, Sr. (Sheila), brother, Phil Baker, Jr., sisters: Brandi Baker and Brittani Johnson. She is also survived by her father-in-law, Carlton Savoy, sister-in-law, Valerie Belleu (Craig), brother-in-law, Mark Savoy, and her beloved dog, Bugsy.
Pallbearers are Mark Savoy, Jack Belleu, Cade Belleu, Murphy Savoy, Cooper Savoy and Todd Barrow.
Visitation will be at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 LA-429, St. Amant, LA 70774, on Thursday 12/18/25, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with mass to follow.
