Susie "Susie Q" Mae Edwards Davidson, of Denham Springs, Louisiana passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 84 on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
Born on November 29, 1941, in Independence, Louisiana, she was a devoted and lifelong member of Revival Temple in Walker, Louisiana.
Susie loved reading, cooking and was a loving mother and grandmother. She was known for her kind heart, strong faith, and deep love she had for her family and most of all, the love she had for the Lord. She touched the lives of many with her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.
Susie is survived by the love of her life, husband of 69 years, Thomas Edward Davidson Sr. Son: Thomas Edward “Eddie” Davidson Jr. Daughters: Debbie Cambre (Jeff), Janice Blount (Jesse) Sherry Watts (Chet) Kimberly Arnold. Fourteen Grandchildren, Twenty-eight great grandchildren and four great- great grandchildren, sister: Georgia Wheat.
Susie is preceded in death by her parents Thad and Georgia Edwards, sisters Leona Efferson, Betty Johnson, son in law Timmy Arnold and great grandson Everett William Nevels.
Susie will be remembered for the unconditional love she gave so freely and the legacy of family and faith she leaves behind. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Celebration of life will be at Revival Temple Church, 28521 Walker South Rd. Walker, Louisiana on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Visitation begins at 10:00 am until time of the service at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow Revival Temple Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandson’s, Garrett Davidson, Gabriel Watts, Owen Arnold, Aaron Blount, Justin Blount, and Jeremy Cambre.
The family would like to give a special thank you to those who spent many hours with Susie when we were unable, Olivia Whittington, Donna Jefferson, Elaine Stokes.
