Susan Harvey Marchand, lovingly known as Susie, passed away on January18, 2024, in Baton Rouge. She was born on July 24, 1953, in Bogolusa. Susan leaves behind an incredible legacy as a retired warehouse supervisor from Vulcan Chemicals and Oxychem.

Throughout her life, Susan's warm and inviting nature touched the hearts of all who crossed her path. She possessed a remarkable ability to make connections with people effortlessly; she never met a stranger. Susan's compassionate soul led her to extend a helping hand to anyone in need, embodying true empathy and kindness.

Always wearing a radiant smile, Susan's cheerful disposition brightened any room she entered. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she was always willing to lend a listening ear or offer support to those who sought comfort in her presence. Countless individuals have experienced the profound impact of her selflessness.

In addition to Susan's remarkable character, she enjoyed various hobbies and interests that brought joy into her life. Above all else, her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Susan's parents, Jim and Pauline Harvey, provided her with a nurturing upbringing. Her sister Jeannie McDonald and brother-in-law Andre McDonald shared a deep bond of love and support with Susan that brought solace during challenging times. She was also blessed to have had Weldom (Buddy) Marchand and Rose Marchand as her father-in-law and mother-in-law, along with James (Jimmy) Marchand as her brother-in-law.

In addition to her immediate family, Susan leaves behind her brother in law Paul Marchand, sister-in-law Heather Marchand, sister-in-law Debbie Marchand, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Amanda (Jake) Falgout, Cory (Amber) Marchand, Kayla (Shea) Racca, Kandice (Printice) Dencausse, Kolby Marchand, James (Rachel) McDonald, and Emily McDonald will forever carry the memories of Aunt Susie in their hearts.
