Stefan was born on Thursday, February 16, 1989, at Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge to Bruce Valentine and Susie Braud. Stefan grew up in Baton Rouge. He attended Parkview Baptist through middle school. He and his sister Haley moved to Jacksonville, Florida, along with their mother and stepfather where they attended high school. During his time in Ruston, he married Kelcie Marie Stevens. Sadly, they divorced but remained close friends until his untimely passing.  Stefan played drums from a very young age and was quite good. Started playing guitar several years later, which he seemed to enjoy even more. He was an avid reader. He became very involved in the Fellowship of recovery, that is AA and NA. and remained very passionate about the cause until his death. Throughout his short life, he was blessed to have many friends who loved him dearly. Some have said he was one of the most likable people they had ever known.
