A memorial service celebrating the life of Sonya Rene Burkholder Hughes will be held at Shiloh Baptist Church, 110 West 11th Street, Lima Ohio 45804 on March 24, 2018 at 11:00 am. Committal service will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Sonya, a native of Lima, Ohio and a resident of Gonzales, LA, passed away February 11, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Emerson Keith Burkholder and Phoebe Sue Osborne; brother, Darryl Osborne; and son, Marcus Hughes. Survived by her husband, Donald Hughes, Jr; children, Marcelus Carter, Tarah Carter; brother, Tony Saunder; and grandchild, I’Ayrian Carter.
