Shelby "Shelly" Lynn Bourgeois

Shelby "Shelly" Lynn Bourgeois, born on August 20, 1982, passed away on July 12, 2025. Shelby was known for her dedication to helping others, her love for church, and her volunteering as a greeter. She frequently watched Steven Furtick and had a career in retail.

Shelby is survived by her children, Lexie Bourgeois, Joseph Bordelon, and Gracie Bourgeois. She is also survived by her siblings: Tammy Rivere, Amy Lavergne, Skyla Guidry, George Leger, Joshua Leger, Brandon Delatte, Jeremy Delatte, and Nicholas Delatte. Her father is Urice Lavergne.

Shelby was preceded in death by her sister, Tina Braud, her mother, Deborah LeJune, and her stepmother, Donna Lavergne.

A service to honor Shelby's memory will be held at The Church in Saint Amant, LA. Service will take place on Monday, July 21st, with visitation starting at 10:00 am, and the service to follow at 11:00 am.
