Sheila "Sunny" Solar Cook

Sheila Cook, known as “Sunny” to her friends and family, passed away peacefully after years of Alzheimer’s Disease on Sunday, Nov. 17th at the age of 81. She was a beautician for most of her adult life and loved the country and all of her animals. Yes, she had dogs, horses, a pet pig, miniature goats, miniature Jerusalem donkeys, cows, and a buffalo. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Drs.Curtis and Kay Solar; her grandchildren Cody, Mack, and CJ Solar and Carrie Solar Menge; her great grand-daughter, Annabelle Menge; cousin Tootie Cook; and her best friend of over 70 years, Gerrie West.

She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Solar; and previous husband, Percy Solar. 

There will be a private celebration of life for her family and close friends.
