Sara "Noah" Renee Shaw was born on January 21, 1989, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She passed away on June 1, 2026. Sara dedicated much of her life to teaching, a passion she nurtured after earning an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from RPCC.
Throughout her life, Sara was known for her love of teaching young children, her interest in art and reading, and her fondness for sloths. She was always eager to help others and found joy in making a positive difference in their lives. Sara was a proud member of the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge and actively supported NAMI of Baton Rouge.
Sara is survived by her loving parents, Randy Arthur Shaw and Renee Anne Beck. She is also remembered fondly by her siblings Joseph Edwin Shaw, Amanda Marie Shaw, and Cristy Lynn Patrick. Among her close friends are Beth DeVos, Chelle Belle, Caroline Lutz, Kate Balogh, Karla McDaniel, Amanda Higley, and Ashley Duplichin, who stood by her side through many moments.
Her family circle also includes her canine companion, Raven, as well as her niece Bailey Anne, great-nephew Kylen Dior, and nephews Loki and Aydan Patrick. These dear ones carry forward her memory and the warmth she shared with all around her.
Sara was preceded in death by her Grandma Jo, Tink, Aunt Cindy, Aunt Dorthy, Uncle Sam, Papa Jack, and cousins Nikki and Jason. Though they are no longer with us, their memories live on in the hearts of Sara’s family and friends.
Sara Renee Shaw’s life was one of caring, creativity, and kindness. She touched many through her work and friendships and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy is one of love and dedication to those around her.
