Sandy Tisdale

Sandra "Sandy" Tisdale, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, gained her wings on Sunday, July 21, 2024, in Baton Rouge, LA, at the age of 61. She was born on July 20, 1963, in Bogalusa, LA. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, father and step-mother Bill and Pearl Crowell and mother and step-father Bonnie and Milton Davis, her brother David Shawn Crowell, and her mother-in-law Felice Tisdale. 

Sandy is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, Butch Tisdale, her children Brandon Tisdale (Ashlyn), Carie Whittington (Brett), and Amy Jordan, her grandchildren Tyler Jordan, Garet Jordan (Brystal), Kori Whittington, Raylynn Cockerham, Chase Tisdale, Gary Tisdale, Landon Cockerham, Lainey Whittington, and her great-grandson Silas Jordan as well as her brothers, Greg Crowell (Sandy), and Darrell Crowell (Bea) and sisters, Sheila Johnson (Troy) and Sheri Crowell, sister-in-law Carol Bolton and niece, Frances Bolton, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended grandchildren and friends whom she loved like her own.

Those who knew Sandy will remember her for her warm smile, caring nature, and unwavering support for her family and friends. She had a special way of making everyone around her feel loved and valued and her positive energy was contagious. Sandy dedicated 18 years of her life to the Louisiana State Police in Fleet Operations in Baton Rouge, where she made significant contributions through her hard work and dedication. Her colleagues remember her as kind, reliable and someone who always went above and beyond to help others. Sandy's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her spirit and memory will live on in the lives of those she touched. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, July 29 at 2 p.m., with visitation beginning at NOON, at Zoar Baptist Church in Central, where friends and family can come together to pay their respects and share memories. Please continue to lift the family up in prayer during this most difficult time.
