Roselyn "Rosie" Borne

Roselyn “Rosie” Borne, born on February 9, 1945 in New Orleans, LA, passed away at her home in Gonzales, LA on April 13, 2025, at the age of 80.

In true New Orleans fashion Rosie loved celebrating her culture by relishing in the beautiful art, music, and food that the city has to offer.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Clark Borne; children, Scott, Marcie, and Clark II; parents, Fred and Katherine Thompson; and brother, Thomas Mahe.

Rosie is survived by her daughter, Michele; stepson, Clark Jr.; grandchildren, Cory, Casey and his wife Joselle, Chetta and her husband Houston, Cy and his wife Delaney, and Chelsea; great-grandchildren, Ily, Destyni, Dayton, Houston, Ethan, Kiah, Kaiden and Cameron; and great great-grandchild, Aurora. Rosie also leaves behind a group of wonderful friends that she was so happy to have enjoyed and cherished through the years.

A Graveside Service will take place at St. Peters Cemetery, 1550 Highway 44, Reserve, LA 70084, on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 11:00 am.
