Rosella Rita DeArmond Brignac

Rosella Rita DeArmond Brignac was born on February 21, 1940, in Sorrento, Louisiana. She peacefully passed away on March 31, 2026, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the age of 86.

Rosella devoted much of her life to her community, working as a bus driver for Lake Elementary and St. Amant Elementary. She also pursued a career as a beautician, where she touched many lives with her kindness and skill. Outside of work, Rosella found joy in antique shopping and collecting, a passion that brought her much happiness over the years.

She is survived by her loving children, Holly Chiquelin and her husband Allen, and Wade Brignac and his wife Trina; grandchildren, Matthew Brignac, Hillary Brignac, Addison Brignac, Wesley LeBlanc, Jace Chiquelin, and Hannah Chiquelin; her great-grandchildren, Harper Chiquelin, Julian Knight, Gabriel LeBlanc, Christian LeBlanc, and Robert LeBlanc; her sister, Corrine Nickens.

Rosella was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Brignac; her siblings Aralette, Lou Ronnie, Gus, and Hop DeArmond; and her parents, Eunice and Leon DeArmond.

A graveside service to honor and remember Rosella will be held at Sacred Heart Chapel Cemetery (45049 Lake Martin Rd., Lake, Louisiana 70774) on April 2, 2026, at 10am. 

Rosella’s family and friends will remember her as a gentle soul who lived a simple and full life. Her commitment to her work, love of family, and appreciation for the little treasures in life made her a cherished presence to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
