Rosella Rita DeArmond Brignac was born on February 21, 1940, in Sorrento, Louisiana. She peacefully passed away on March 31, 2026, in Baton Rouge at the age of 86.
Rosella devoted much of her life to her community working as a bus driver for Lake Elementary and St. Amant Elementary. She also pursued a career as a beautician where she touched many lives with her kindness and skill. Outside of work, Rosella found joy in antique shopping and collecting, a passion that brought her much happiness over the years.
She is survived by her loving children, Holly Brignac Chiquelin and her husband Allen. Wade Brignac and his wife Trina; grandchildren Matthew Brignac, Hillary Brignac, Addison Brignac, Wesley LeBlanc and his wife Micki, Jace Chiquelin and Hannah Chiquelin; her great grandchildren Harper Chiquelin, Julian Knight, Gabriel Leblanc, Christian Leblanc, Robert LeBlanc and her sister Corrine Nickens. Rosella was preceded in death by her husband Rodney Brighac, her sister Arlette Morgan, Lou Ronnie Daigle, Gus DeArmond and Hop DeArmond; and her parents Eunice and Leon DeArmond.
Rosella’s family and friends will remember her laugh and her gentle soul who lived a simple and full life. Her commitment to her work, love of family, and appreciation for the little treasures in life made her a cherished presence to all that knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
There will be no public services held.
