Rose Marie Doyle, a longtime resident of Baton Rouge and most recently of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving children, Maria, George, and Victoria.
She was born on November 10, 1957, in Brunswick, Georgia, to William E. Doyle and Estelle Jordan-Doyle.
Rose was a kind, loving, and joyful woman whose laughter could light up any room. She had a playful, silly spirit and brought comfort and happiness to those around her. She found great joy in caring for her dogs, tending to her plants, and most of all, spending time with her family.
A dedicated and compassionate caregiver, Rose served as a nurse for more than 30 years, touching countless lives with her skills, compassion, and unwavering commitment to helping others. During her nursing career, she worked at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital and several healthcare facilities throughout the surrounding area, where she was respected by colleagues and appreciated by patients and families alike.
Before her nursing career, Rose proudly served her country in the United States Army as a Specialist Fourth Class (SP4) with the 5th Infantry Division. Stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana, she also spent two years overseas in Germany. She carried the values of service, dedication, and resilience with her throughout her life.
Throughout the years, Rose selflessly cared for ill family members and those in need, always offering a helping hand, a listening ear, and a loving heart.
Rose was a faithful member of Victory Harvest Church, where her kindness and servant's heart were a blessing to many.
She is survived by her children, Maria Doyle, George Wade Jr, and Victoria Wade; her grandchildren, Alexis Hogue, Isaiah Hogue, Brianna Spears and Deonchore Spears Jr; her great-grandchildren, Rome, Malik, Taylor, and Isabella; her beloved sister, Mary Domingues; her cherished soul sister, Beverly Butes; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William E. Doyle and Estelle Jordan Doyle; and her sisters, Reba Walker, Debra McDonald, and Cherie Doyle Ponder.
A memorial service celebrating Rose’s life will be held on June 12, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Victory Harvest Church.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Ochsner Hospital O’Neal, the St. Joseph Hospice team and all who provided care, comfort, and support during her final days.
Rose will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her warmth, laughter, strength, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. Rose dedicated her life to service—first to her country, then to her patients, and always to her family. Her compassion, strength, and unconditional love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
