Ronald James "Ronnie" Matherne

Ronald James "Ronnie" Matherne, 59, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away on August 6, 2024, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Born on May 3, 1965, in Denham Springs to Charles and Audrey Matherne. Ronnie was a cherished figure known for his humor and wisdom.

Ronnie dedicated his life to his family and his passions.

He was a skilled handyman, often found working on vehicles, fixing electronics, or creating new designs.

His love for these activities was only surpassed by the joy he found in spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Matherne; daughters, Lori Cousin (Nicholas), Tiffany Matherne, and Brianna Matherne; grandchildren, Jaxon Cousin, Jake Cousin, and Ava Gregoire; brothers, Paul "Mike" Matherne (Debby) and Terry Matherne Sr. (Peggy). Ronnie was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Ray "Buch" Matherne and Darryl Matherne (Beth).

A Memorial service will be held at The Church International, 13423 LA-431, St Amant, LA 70774, on Saturday, August 24, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10 am with service starting at 11 am. 

Church Funeral Services of St. Amant, Louisiana, is assisting the family during this time. Ronnie's life and legacy will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
