Ronald Kenneth Gurley
March 21, 1944 - June 17, 2025
Ron is now face to face with his Savior, Jesus Christ. Ron was born to Ken and Clara Mae Gurley and spent most of his life in Louisiana, ultimately passing away peacefully in his parent's home in Baton Rouge. Ron had charm, wit, intelligence, and a sense of adventure. He was athletic, played many sports, and loved his LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints. His intelligence, courage, and love of country led him to the Naval Academy, Class of '66. As a Vietnam veteran, Ron was a naval aviator and flew the P3 Orion. While in the Navy, he married and had 2 sons, Mark and Jeff. The Navy took him all over the world, but he circled back to his home, Louisiana. Ron attended law school at Tulane and practiced law in New Orleans. He was also a salesman, business owner, and financial advisor. Ron's true loves were his family and faith. He was married 6 times and leaves behind his loving and caring wife Pamela Nelson. A third son, Matt, was born of his second marriage. Ron had one "Baby Brother", Jim Gurley of Mississippi. The family legacy Ron created includes 3 sons and 7 grandchildren. As a brother, husband, father, and grandfather; Ron shared his faith, love of God, love of family, and love of country. We will miss you and see you soon. Much love. John 3:16!
