Rodgie “Rod” Reeves

Rodgie “Rod” Reeves was born in Hammond, LA on September 26, 1936, and departed from this life on Monday July 24, 2023, at his home in Kenner at the age of 86 years. He was a faithful & loved member of New Life Tabernacle Church in Metairie, La. He was truly blessed to have his church family & neighbors who was always caring for Rodgie.  Most of his adult life he served in retail/sales being the co-owner of several gift shops in the New Orleans area. He held other jobs but was presently employed with Home Goods.  Rodgie in his younger years loved traveling and took many trips oversees and to foreign countries. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Daisy Hall Reeves, his sister Charlene Reeves Arceneaux & Brother-in-law Rev. Gerald Arceneaux. He is survived by three nephews, Arlis Arceneaux and wife Ann, Rev. Marlin Arceneaux and wife Tabitha, Todd Arceneaux and wife Scarlett; Great nephews Brent Arceneaux & Brandon Partin; Great nieces Blair Partin & Bailey McAlister & numerous great-great nieces & nephews. A ceremony celebrating the life of Rodgie “Rod” Reeves will be held on Thursday July 27, 2023, with visiting beginning at 10 am until time of service at 12 noon at Faith Apostolic Church, 26660 James Chapel Road, Holden. Interment will follow at Twin Pines Cemetery Holden. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on August 2, 2023, at New Life Tabernacle Church, 6017 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA.  The family would like to sincerely thank his church family & friends for their love & support.
