Robert "Bob" Stoothoff

Bob, a loving Father, Grandfather and friend passed away at the age of 92 on May 1, 2026. He was born on March 18, 1934 in Chicago IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alma and Harry Stoothoff.

Known to family and friends as Bob, he was a devoted husband to Sherry Stoothoff, loving father to Joe Stoothoff, Jill Trimper and Jay Stoothoff, and a wonderful stepfather to Kevin Denny. He was a proud grandfather to Jordan, Dana, Shaun, Shelby, Justin and Brennon and great- grandfather to Colton, Scarlet and Kade.

Bob graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, PA with a master’s in business. He spent his career in chemical sales with Allied Chemical, Ethyl Corp. and Albemarle.

Bob was known for his kind and gentle nature – many would say they never saw him get angry. He was a devoted sports fan and loved LSU football. He loved also spending time with his family and shared a special lifelong friendship with Bill Liehe

Bob will be remembered as a truly one-of-a kind man and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held on July 18th 2026 at 11 am at Drusilla Seafood 3482 Drusilla Ln D, Baton Rouge.
