Robert "Bob" Nathan Foulks Jr.

Robert “Bob” Nathan Foulks, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home on December 15,2025 at the age of 81. Born July 26,1944 to Robert Nathan Foulks, Sr. and Bernadette Chustz Foulks; he was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge. He graduated from Redemptorist High School in 1962. He then joined the Navy and served from 1962-1965. He was a proud Veteran and spoke highly of his military career. He later married JoElla Amedee and they celebrate 58 ½ years together.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father, infant sister Kathryn Ann Foulks, brother William (Billy) Foulks, in-laws Frances Lawrence Amedee and Ida Amedee and brother-in-law Darryl Amedee.

He worked at Ethel Corporation for 20 years until its closing. He then retired from the City Parish of Baton Rouge.

He loved sports and enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up playing everything. His favorite sports to watch and attend were hockey, football, and baseball. He loved fishing and golf and was also a deer hunter in his early years.

One of his favorite things to do was share his strength, hope and love that he learned in his 43 years as a friend of Bill W. He was always willing to help others and offer rides when necessary.

He was a good husband, father and grandfather. He leaves behind his wife JoElla, daughters Ashley and son-in-law Clay Cooper, Brandi and son-in-law Jason Sims, and grandchildren Alyssa, Collin and Carson Cooper; a sister and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Barry Langlois, and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Clarice and Johnny Bercegeay. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews.

His final request to his friends is to please continue to share your strength, hope and love you’ve learned along the way.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, January 25,2025 from 12:00-3:00 at Kristenwood Event Center 14025 Greenwell Springs Rd., Greenwell Springs, LA 70739. The eulogy will begin at 12:30. Food, drinks and visitation to follow.

He will be buried on Monday, January 26,2025 at the Port Hudson National Cemetery in Zachary.

The family wishes to thank all his family and friends who reached out, prayed, visited and helped with his care near the end. We appreciate your love and support.
