Robert P. Crochet Sr.
He was born August 2,1949 in Donaldsonville, LA and passed away in Gonzales, LA on February 21, 2026, at the age of 76.
Robert was was a well-respected member of the Donaldsonville community, known by nearly everyone in town and admired for his strong work ethic. Through determination and hard work, he built his own lawn care service, earning the trust and loyalty of countless families throughout the years. He had a strong dedication to his craft and pride in a job well done.
Music was one of his greatest passions. Robert had a deep love for the guitar and found joy in both performing and simply playing for family and friends. Country and gospel music filled his days, and his steady hands and heartfelt playing brought comfort and happiness to those who listened.
He was also a natural tinkerer, always working on something in his spare time. A talented small engine repairman, he had a gift for fixing what others thought could not be repaired. If something was broken, he was determined to make it run again.
Above all, Robert was a loving husband and father who always tried his very best to provide for his family. His love was steady, his presence dependable, and his example one of perseverance. He will be remembered for his hard work, his music, and the deep care he showed to those he loved.
Preceded in death by his parents, Edmond and Pauline Crochet, and his siblings, Iray, Willie, Louis, Joe and Theresa
His is survived by his wife, Mary Crochet; his son, Robert Crochet Jr., and his grandchildren, Gaven and Kailey.
A graveside service to celebrate his life will be at held at Cornerview Cemetery, March 6th at 10AM.
