Robert Ray Aydell

Robert Ray (Bit) Aydell, age 95, a resident of Port Vincent, passed away on May 10, 2024. He is survived by daughters: Katherine Foster (Butch), Charlotte Dixon (Donald, deceased), Tina Pietri (Richard) and Cindy Aydell; son-in-law, John Marchand; 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren; sister, Ozelia "Shoot" Keller. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Iola Aydell; wife, Edna Mae Aydell; daughter, Edna Marie Marchand; brother, Alvin Aydell; sister, Ruby Lewis; great grandson, Easton Wade Polk and great-great grandson, Austin Delaune Jr.

Robert was retired from Sears after 32 years. He loved gardening, fishing, hunting and providing fresh vegetables for everyone. Visitation will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church in French Settlement on Thursday May 16, 2024, from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Burial will follow at St. Williams Cemetery, Port Vincent concluded by a reception gathering at St. Joseph Catholic Church Hall.
