Richard Stevens (Steve) Kirkland passed away on August 23, 2023. He was the son of the late Lyonel C. and Doris P. Kirkland. He is survived by his loving wife, Angela McGlothin, daughter of Boyce E. and Mary Bradford, three sisters, Kathy Clark, Anne (Walter) Hammett, Mamie (Alan) Baker, four nieces and one nephew. Steven Had a thirty-year career as a Sales Specialist. in the piping, coating, and valve industry, servicing the local and international PetroChemical and Industrial Piping Community. He served four years in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. John F Kennedy, visiting many ports and countries. He loved all sports, playing tennis for over 50 years and was never known to miss a chance to cheer on his L.S.U. Tigers. He was an avid reader and was exceptionally knowledgeable on Military history. His love for music and all things Deep Purple led him to become a self-taught guitarist. Steven was always eager and willing to help anyone in need, touching the hearts of many with his kindness and sweetness. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
