Richard Farmer, 66, of Baton Rouge, formerly of Houma, LA, passed away peacefully on Ascension Sunday. Beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He practiced family, criminal, and injury law. He loved fishing, golf, hunting, travel, and time with loved ones at his camp in Leeville. Youngest of four, born to Betty Jo and James Farmer, Sr. in Houma. Graduate of Nicholls State, Southern Law, and Tulane Law (Masters in Maritime). Survived by wife Dinea Himel Farmer; sons Collin Farmer (Alex), Jourdan Farmer (Katie); grandsons Grayson and Blaine Farmer; mother Betty Jo Farmer; sister Suzie Reckert (Tom). Preceded in death by father James Farmer, Sr.; brothers Kenny Farmer (Millie) and James Farmer, Jr. (LaDale). Funeral: Friday, June 6 at First United Methodist Church, Baton Rouge. Visitation is at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m., with burial at Garden of Memories in Gray, LA.
