Regina Kay Simmons Stonaker

September 18, 1957 — April 7, 2024

Prairieville, LA

A resident of Prairieville, she passed  away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the age of 66 in her home with her family by her side. She was born on September 18, 1957 to Ben and Jean Simmons in Baker, LA. After graduating from Baker High  School in 1975, she married in 1978 and soon became a stay-at-home mom. She raised three children of her own and would always step in to help other family and friends take care of their little ones. Regina never knew a stranger. Her generosity, kindness, and compassion touched countless hearts throughout her life. 

Regina is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Floyd Stonaker; a daughter, Nikki; two sons, Ben and Adam and wife Val; and four grandchildren, Sally, Juliette, Maggie, and William; and her brother, Bruce Simmons and wife Pam Simmons. She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved pup, Sam. 

Memorial Reception and Celebration of Life to be held at the BrickRoom in Denham Springs Saturday April 20, 2024 from 10am to 2pm.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to one of the following charities that Regina supported: St. Jude Children’s hospital, Wounded Warrior Foundation, or The Shriners.
