Randy Paul Broussard was born on November 4, 1951, in Broussard, LA, and resided in Prairieville, Louisiana. He peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Known for his spirited Cajun demeanor, he delighted friends and family with his humorous anecdotes and tales of his rural upbringing. Proficient in various skills, Randy particularly excelled in woodworking, a craft he learned from his father and passed down to his children, who continue to excel in this craft today.
Randy retired from an oil field career and co-owned Kids Are People Too Childcare Center. A devoted member of The Church of St. Amant, he leaves a legacy of community and faith.
Survived by his beloved wife, Jamie [Carlin] Broussard, Randy is remembered fondly by his three children, Logan, Lindsey, and Landon Broussard, and his three grandchildren, Lucas, Molly, and Rubi Broussard. He is also survived by his siblings Glen and Timmy Broussard, Peggy Bienvenue, his godmother Charlene Guillot, daughter-in-law Emily Broussard, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, A.D. and Anita Broussard.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge staff for their exceptional care and support during Randy's final days.
In accordance with his wishes, no formal services will be held. His final resting place will be Serenity Oaks Memorial Park in Prairieville, Louisiana.
