Listen to Obituary
A loving son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend, he entered eternal rest on May 2, 2023 after living with cancer for 6 yrs. Randy was only 64 yrs old. He’ll be greatly missed and live on forever in our hearts. A 1976 graduate of Tara High School in Baton Rouge, LA., Randy became a skilled master carpenter (specializing in trimwork); he took great pride in his work and was a very meticulous craftsman. An avid outdoorsman for the majority of his life, Randy enjoyed hunting & fishing. He attended all family gatherings and enjoyed visiting with family & close friends. While Randy was a conservative man, he was a talker! He had an incredible memory and loved sharing stories, telling jokes & jogging our memories about good times growing up.

Randy is survived by his parents L. Maurice & Florence “Flo” Lasserre, Jr., two sisters & brothers-in-law Denise Lasserre-Gibson (Ted) and Janelle Lasserre-Olinde (Patrick), two nephews Dustin Kahn (Rachel) & Devin Kahn (Ashley), three nieces Morgan Olinde-Zaeff (Nick), Megan Olinde, Lauryn Gibson, two great-nieces Juliana & Charlotte Zaeff, one great-nephew Rylee Kahn, and one uncle & aunt Bennett “Benny” Robichaux Jr. (Pat).

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Bennett & Florence Robichaux, Sr. and paternal grandparents L. Maurice & Ida Lasserre, Sr., as well as two uncles & aunts Harold & Shirley Robichaux and Edward & Marilyn Comeaux.
