Raeven Symone Dagoberg Holmes passed away on August 14, 2026, at the age of 35. Born on September 5, 1990, Raeven’s vibrant personality and commitment to those around her left a lasting impression upon all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Raeven’s dedication to growth and her chosen fields was evident throughout her life. She attained an accounting degree, demonstrating her commitment to academic achievement and personal advancement. Her professional life was distinguished by her role as an early childhood educator Level 4. Raeven’s work in education reflected her steadfast belief in nurturing young minds and making a positive difference in the lives of children and their families.

A devoted mother, Raeven found her greatest joy in spending time with her two beloved sons, Collin G Holmes and Cayson J Gaona. Her passion for her children and for savoring life’s moments shone through in all that she did, enriching the many relationships she nurtured both at home and within her community.

Raeven’s caring nature extended to her family and friends. She is survived by her father Neil Dagoberg and stepmother Missy Dagoberg; her mother Penny Stone and stepfather Charlie Stone; her grandmother Faye Dagoberg; her sisters Sherrie Israel and Courtney Stone; her brothers Brett Abbott and Bryan Abbott; and the fathers to her children, Mike Holmes and Sabastion Gaona. Her sons, Collin and Cayson, were her heart’s pride. Raeven also had a special sister like bond with her cousin, Ashley Crawford. Raeven’s extended family also includes numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other dear relatives, whose lives were touched by her kindness and support.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Dwight “Doddy” Braud Sr., Judy Braud, Paul Dagoberg, and Betty Savoy. Their legacy, together with Raeven’s own, will be cherished through the memories and values she imparted to her loved ones.

Faith was an important part of Raeven’s life. She attended Bethany church, finding community and solace, and participating in those spiritual traditions that brought her comfort and strength.

Raeven Symone Dagoberg Holmes’s life was a testament to her dedication, love, and unwavering support for those around her. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held in Raeven's honor at Bethany Church, The Warehouse, at 10877 Rieger Road in Baton Rouge, LA 70809 on Friday, August 28th. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with a service to follow.
