Rachel Marie Miller Ramsey

Rachel Marie Miller Ramsey, a resident of Denham Springs, LA, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at the age of 41, 6 days short of her 42nd birthday, after a short illness for which she was hospitalized. Rachel was born in Houma, LA and grew up in Baton Rouge. She graduated from Bishop Sullivan High School in Baton Rouge and attended Southeastern University in Hammond. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, grandfather, aunt, and father-in-law. 

She is survived by her husband, Joel F. Ramsey and her son Aiden P. Ramsey. She is also survived by her sister, Angela Miller (Blake), brother John Miller (Britni), grandmother, Jean Childs and mother-in-law, Faye Ramsey. 

Rachel was part of a large family, including aunts, uncles, cousins, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in. She had a multitude of friends who she loved and considered family. Rachel was a loving wife and devoted mother. She was the neighborhood mom to all the kids. Rachel was a professional chef and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She was last employed by a law firm in Baton Rouge. 

The family is planning a memorial service for her later this month.
