Phyllis Faye Crayton

Phyllis Faye Thornton Crayton, age 68, of Livingston passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at her home. She was born Friday, September 6, 1957, to Bernace Footman and Lou Ethel Grace Thornton. Phyllis enjoyed life and loved cooking for her family, and loved plants. Her greatest joy was bringing laughter to her grandchildren.

Phyllis is survived by her children Misty Dawn Vasquez (Roberto), Steve Douglas Johnson, and Christian Danette Reier (William). She is also survived by her grandchildren Sharae, Jessi, Victoria, Wyatt, Brooklyn, Trey, Karlee, RJ, Ali, Anabell, Grayson, and Noah, numerous great grandchildren, her sister Nelda Thornton, also many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Bernace Footman and Lou Ethel Grace Thornton, her brothers Walter Thornton, Jerry Thornton, David Thornton and her sister, Joyce Blahut.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at The New, 44383 Crisp Rd., Hammond, Louisiana on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 5PM until 6PM.  The Memorial Service will follow at 6PM.
