Philip A. Krumholt, 83, passed away peacefully at his home in Port Vincent, LA on August 11, 2023.
Philip attended school in Baker, LA, entered the workforce at a young age and retired from Iron Workers Union Local 58. Philip was a quiet, but generous man; he enjoyed doing handyman work for others. working in his garden and keeping a meticulous lawn. He also loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids and visiting family and friends.
He is survived by two children, Brenda Caruso (Mike “Bro”) and Christopher “Chris” Krumholt; he had 11 grandchildren: Shandi Krumholt, Victoria “Tori” Krumholt, Nicholas Fallo, Jace Krumholt, Breck Schexnayder (Jaci), Trey Caruso (Isabelle), Beau Caruso (Leslie), Emily Caruso, Baylor Krumholt, Benton Krumholt and Brooks Krumholt and 11 Great Grandchildren; sister, Lulu Lee and brothers, Donald Krumholt Sr. and Ray Krumholt.
Preceded in death by wife, Leilani “Lonnie” Krumholt, son, Jerry Krumholt, parents Wiliams and Edith Krumholt, siblings: Evelyn Krumholt, Shellie Krumholt, Buck Krumholt, William Krumholt, Jr., and Ann Martin.
Funeral services will be held at The Church International, 13423 Hwy 431, St. Amant, LA, Monday, August 21, 2023. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Immediately following, Philip will be laid to rest next to his wife of 40 years at St. William Catholic Cemetery in Port Vincent, LA.
Pallbearers will be: Breck Schexnayder, Mike “Bro” Caruso, Trey Caruso, Beau Caruso, Donald Wayne Krumholt Jr., and Jace Krumholt.
Honorary pallbearers: Ray Krumholt, Donald Krumholt Sr., David Lee, James Canterbury, Odis Taylor, Christopher Krumholt, Baylor Benton and Brooks Krumholt.
The family wishes special blessings to his caregivers, neighbor, Merle Burkes and Hospice staff: Stacy Browhow, Lisa Gauthier and Latarsha Shelton.
A memorial contribution can be made in Philip’s memory to Hospice of Baton Rouge “Camp Conquer” or “Pet Peace of Mind”.
