Peggy Rosario Wescott

Peggy Rosario Wescott, 53, of Baker, Louisiana, passed away on June 11, 2025. Born on November 23, 1971, Peggy devoted her life to creating a loving home for her family and cherished her role as a homemaker. A graduate of Baker High School, she filled her home with creativity and love, always finding joy in crafting and spending time with her kids, grandchildren and her family. 

Peggy is survived by her mother, Maria Roum; her husband, David Wescott; her children, Jourdain Mixon, Meagan Ory & husband Tyler Ory, Lori Mixon & fiancé Gage Hutchinson, Tara Mixon & fiancé Cameron Taylor, Katelynn Wescott, and Richard Wescott; two stepsons; siblings, David Roum Jr. & wife Nikki Roum, Sherry Lindsay & husband Matt Lindsay, and Loren Mendenhall & wife Laure Mendenhall; and nieces and nephews; numerous grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life. 

She was preceded in death by her father, David Roum Sr., and both sets of grandparents. Her hobbies included painting, enjoying the outdoors, and visiting the beach, but her greatest pleasure was the time spent playing and creating memories with her grandchildren. 

A service to celebrate Peggy’s life will be held on July 19, 2025, at 2 pm at her daughter's Meagan house 14326 Gemini Drive Pride LA, 70770.
