Listen to Obituary

Payton J. Triche, 31, passed away unexpectedly on October 3, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a love that will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him. Born on July 6, 1995, Payton and his twin brother Landon brought a special light into the lives of his family and friends. He will be remembered for his unique personality, his laughter, his kindness, and the countless memories he created with the people he loved most. Payton graduated from St. Amant High School in 2014. He went on to attend Kilgore College in Kilgore, Texas, where he earned his degree in Process Technology.

Above all, Payton cherished the time he spent with his daughter, Andi, who was the light and love of his life and a lasting part of his legacy. Payton’s passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot fully describe. While his family and friends mourn his absence, they find comfort in knowing that he is no longer alone. Payton has been reunited in Heaven with his twin brother, Landon, together again as they were always meant to be.

Payton is survived by his beloved daughter, Andi Michelle Triche; his fiancée, Allison VanBree; his mother and stepfather, Darla and Mike Griffin; his father, Kenny Triche and wife, Denise; Stepmom, Gitana Triche; an older brother, Brandon Quick; his grandparents, Ronald Delaune and Gerrie Triche; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Payton is preceded in death by his identical twin brother, Landon James Triche; his paternal grandfather, Ernest Triche; maternal grandmothers, Arlene Yszara and Carole Delaune; paternal great-grandparents, Ernest Triche Sr. and Effie Triche, Allen Sr. and Dorothy Ordeneaux; maternal great-grandparents, Yvonne and Henry Delaune; and his maternal great-grandparents, James Yszara and Beulah McCullough.

Though Payton may no longer walk beside those who loved him, his memory will live on through his daughter, the stories his family shares, the laughter and moments they treasure, and the love he left behind. His life may have been far too short, but the impact he made will last a lifetime. The love of a father, the bond of a brother, the devotion of a fiancé, and the memories of a son, grandson, cousin, and friend will never be forgotten. Until we meet again, Payton, may you rest peacefully in the arms of Heaven, reunited with your twin brother and best friend. You will never be forgotten, and you will be loved forever.
