Paul Gilbert Killgore, born on February 16, 1938, passed away in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on July 10, 2026.
Paul obtained Master of Education degrees from both LSU and UNO. He began his 31-year teaching career in East Baton Rouge Parish and later moved to New Orleans where he worked as a teacher and library administrator. He served in the army reserve from 1956 -1964.
Paul was a kind and generous person known for always acknowledging special events for family and friends with greeting cards, flowers and gifts. While living in New Orleans, he developed a love for music and the arts and was a fanatic Saints supporter.
He was predeceased by his parents Allen Gilbert Killgore and Beryl Guillot Killgore.
He is survived by his sister Susan Killgore Miller, brother-in-law John C. “Jack” Miller, and nephews Granton A. Miller (Alexis) and Bradley C. Miller (Daisy).
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal funeral service or visitation. The family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank or The Hospice of Baton Rouge.
