Paul Wayne Horner passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. He was born in Milford, Delaware on

July 5, 1949. Paul is survived by his father and step-mother, John Emory and  Madeline Horner; aunt Wanda Kubitz; siblings Marcia (Danny) Howlett, Leslie Horner, Jay Callahan, and Robin Callahan; brothers-in-law Leo Ficklin, Jr, Bryan (Tina) Ficklin, George (Melissa) Ficklin; numerous nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Darla F Horner; mother Phyllis Peterson Callahan and brother Larry Callahan.

Paul proudly served his country in the U S Navy and is a veteran of the Vietnam War. He loved listening to blues music, playing the harmonica, watching old westerns and Saints football.

A memorial service will be held at Pine Grove Baptist Church, 21949 LA-444, Livingston, LA 70754, on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 11:00am.  Internment will be in The Ficklin Family Cemetery, Galvez, LA.

The family would like to thank the staff of River Oaks Nursing Home in Baker for the many years of dedicated care they provided to Paul. Also, thanks to the staff of Lane Regional Medical Center and OLOL Hospital, and The Carpenter House St. Joseph’s Hospice. A special thank you to Pastor Paul Taylor and the Pine Grove Baptist Church community for all of their prayers.
