Paul D Glass

August 10, 1946 — February 28, 2024

Paul D. Glass, born in Quitman, Mississippi on August 10th, 1946 passed away at his home in Holden, LA on February 28th, 2024 at the age of 77. 
 
 A long-time resident of Holden, and previously, Greensburg, LA, Paul was known for his musicianship which he practiced and upheld throughout his life. His favorite genre was country music and gospel tunes, which he absolutely loved to play for his grandchildren. He absolutely adored spending time with his children and grandchildren. 

 Paul retired from the St. Helena Sheriff’s Office after 20+ years in law enforcement service. After graduating from Greensburg High School, Paul enlisted into the Air Force in 1966. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War during his service, in which he attained the rank of Sergeant in the 4410th Air Policeman Squadron. Following his time in the military, Paul achieved an associate’s degree in accounting. 
 
 Paul is survived by his daughters Crissandra Kefalinos (Gerry), Melissa King (Demark), sister Sarah Jo Stevens (Buck) brother Tim Glass (Gaye), grandchildren Jon Stafford (Tammi), Andrew Stafford, Matthew Stafford, Bobby Hamilton, Amanda Hamilton, Jacob Hamilton, Bobby Kropog, Alicia St. Romain (James), Joseph Bunch, Cody Bunch, Stormi Brown, Glen Stillwell (LeAnn), and Shane King. Paul is also survived by a host of numerous great-grandchildren and other relatives; he is also survived by special longtime friend Tiny Martin. 

 Paul is preceded in death by the love his life, JoAnn Glass, his wife of 20+ years, parents Joe and Jewell Glass, brother Jerry Glass, son-in-law Roger Bunch, nephews David Stevens, Douglas Glass; and grandson Shelby Hamilton.

 A funeral service for Paul will be held on Wednesday, March 6th, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Roseland, LA 63038 Hill St. Roseland, LA 70456. Visitation will be held from 8:30 AM with a religious service to take place at 11:00 AM – Brother Rick Elder to officiate services. Burial and committal services will be held at the Louisiana National Military Cemetery Complex in Zachary, LA on the same day.
