Patty Jean Gautreau

Patty Gautreau, 71, peacefully went home to be with Jesus on February 2, 2024 surrounded by family. 

A resident of Gonzales, LA all her life, Patty was born in 1952 to Ary and Ethel Mae Gautreau. 

She was a devout Christian, serving for 30+ years at the church she called home, Household of Faith. A truly selfless woman, Patty never turned down a chance to give back to her community and anyone in need, even at the expense of herself at times. Patty never had a lot in this physical world, but she was always quick to mention how insignificant that was compared to her bounty in heaven. She possessed the heart of a true servant, never missing an opportunity to share the love of Jesus that blessed her for so many years, even throughout her most recent battle with cancer.

She is predeceased in death by her parents, Ary and Ethel Mae Gautreau, and her brother, Carl Gautreau. 

She is survived by her son, Patrick Gautreau; her granddaughter, Alex Taaffe and her husband, Justus Taaffe; granddaughter, Crystal Bryant and her husband, Chris Bryant; great grandchildren, Zane and Asher Taaffe, and Baylee, Carter and Charlee Bryant. She is also survived by her siblings, Veda Stringer, Mary Gautreau, Christine Millet, Jude Gautreau, Jody Gautreau and Paige Gautreau; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held at Household of Faith church on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 between the times of 9:00-11:00am.
