Patrick Michael "Mike" O'Deay

Gonzales, LA - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick Michael “Mike” O’Deay, who departed this life peacefully on July 31, 2026, at the age of 87. Mike was born on October 14, 1938, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Patrick Franklin O’Deay and Lettitia Louise Phelps O'Deay.

Mike was a dedicated husband to Mildred “Millie” O’Deay, his loving wife of 52 years, and a devoted father to Micheal, Dulci and Brandon O’Deay. He was a cherished father-in-law to Kate Dobson O'Deay and Lisa Dykes O'Deay and a proud grandfather to five grandchildren, Patrick, Grace, Olivia, Kyla and Hayden O'Deay.

Mike proudly served in the National Guard before owning M&M Army Surplus and later worked for the Louisiana Secretary of State. Outside of work and family, Mike found happiness in the peace and quiet of nature while fishing or hunting.

Mike will be remembered for his giving heart, steadfast character and unwavering love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of service, integrity and stories that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

In accordance with Mike's wishes, there will be no public funeral or memorial service. His family will gather privately where they will celebrate his life and cherish the memories they shared together.
