Patricia Phillips Hamberlin

Patricia Phillips Hamberlin, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Patsy shared her gift of music with the world by playing the piano, organ, dulcimer, ukulele, and singing in the choir at First Baptist Church of Baton Rouge, where she was a lifelong member. She selflessly served her community by playing music in church services for the homeless and making blanket bags for those in need. She devoted time and love to her family, especially her husband John during their 64 years of marriage, and their two daughters, Cindy, and Karen. Her sweet joyful spirit will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew her. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 22nd, at First Baptist Church with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church Music Ministry at www.fbcbr.com/give
