Patricia Jernigan

Patricia Jernigan, née Burcham, was born on December 14, 1941, in Oklahoma. She passed away on September 6, 2024 in Denham Springs, leaving behind a rich tapestry of memories and a legacy that will be cherished by her loved ones.

Throughout her life, Patricia embraced the joys of living with an enthusiasm that was truly infectious. She found pleasure in simple yet fulfilling activities; whether it was spending the day gazing at the beach, enjoying the thrill of the casinos, or reveling in the companionship of her beloved dogs, especially her most beloved Chelsea. Patricia had a heart for children, and her nurturing spirit was evident in the way she connected with them. Her love for flowers brought color and beauty not only to her garden but also to the lives of those who knew her.

A true enthusiast of games and puzzles, Patricia spent countless hours engaging in her favorite pastimes. She delighted in playing Scrabble and solving challenging puzzles, always with a cold Coke in hand, while watching her favorite game shows, sharing her laughter and competitive spirit with family and friends.

Patricia is survived by her three dedicated children, Tracey Beatty, Troy Jernigan, and Richard Jernigan as well as a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Glenn A. Burcham and Julia Bell Burcham, whose memories remain close to the hearts of those who continue to honor Patricia's legacy.

As we reflect on Patricia Jernigan's life, we remember her warmth, her passions, and her unwavering love for her family. Her spirit will endure in the laughter of her children and the sunshine of her beloved beach. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
