Patricia Blanchard Gravois, of St. James Parish, Louisiana, passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on March 9, 1948, Patricia grew up in Vacherie, Louisiana, where she learned early the value of family, faith, and the kind of hard work that comes from being raised in a close‑knit community. She graduated from St. James High School, Class of 1966, carrying with her the warmth and resilience that would define her life.

In 1977, Patricia moved with her family to Orange Park, Florida, where she spent more than forty years creating a home filled with love, creativity, and the comforting smells of something always baking in the oven. She raised her three beautiful daughters there, pouring her heart into every meal, every birthday cake, and every late‑night sewing project. Patricia had a natural gift for making things grow — not only in her garden, where she nurtured flowers and plants with patient care, but also in the lives of the people she loved. She found joy in dancing, and she devoted countless hours to researching her family’s history, preserving stories and connections that might otherwise have been lost.

Her happiest moments were often found in the kitchen, especially during the holidays. Christmas was her season. She delighted in baking cookies with her grandchildren, letting them stir the bowls, sneak the sprinkles, and make memories that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Those traditions — messy, sweet, and full of laughter — were her way of passing down love.

In 2021, Patricia moved to Flower Mound, Texas, where she met her husband, Cliff Johnson. Their connection was unexpected and deeply meaningful, a reminder that new chapters can begin at any age. Soon after, they moved to his home state of New Mexico, settling in the peaceful beauty of Eagle Nest in 2022. While in Eagle Nest, they enjoyed traveling and visiting with new and old friends, embracing the quiet charm of the mountains and the community around them. When her health began to decline, Patricia returned to Baton Rouge with her husband, Cliff, to be close to her daughter, Angele, and the extended family whom she adored. Being near them brought her comfort and the sense of home she cherished most.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mildred Blanchard; brother, Ronald Blanchard; and granddaughter, Isabell Sakovich. Her son‑in‑law, Dave (Leslie) Wisnosky, passed away just five days after Patricia, a heartbreaking reminder of the deep bonds that tie families together.

She is survived by her husband, Cliff Johnson; her daughters Angele (Jonathan) Sakovich, Leslie Wisnosky, and Gena (Stephen) Seddig; her brothers Michael (Brenda) Blanchard and Charles (Ruby) Blanchard; and her grandchildren — John Sakovich, Joseph Sakovich, Jacob Hatch, Faith Seddig, Avyree Sakovich, Evelyn Seddig, Kara Hatch, James Seddig, and Jase Seddig. Each of them carries a piece of her creativity, her warmth, and her unwavering devotion to family.

Family and friends are invited to gather in her honor on February 28 at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 815 Barbier Avenue, Thibodaux, LA 70301. A rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by visitation at 10:00 a.m., and Mass at 11:00 a.m. It will be a time to remember her stories, her generosity, and the way she made every person feel cherished.
