Parto Vahid

Parto Vahid, a native of Tehran, Iran and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 91. She graduated from the University of Kansas and the University of Tehran in Fine Arts with a degree in painting and drawing. Parto had art exhibitions in Tehran, Iran; Houston, Texas; and Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was a professional seamstress. In Houston, TX, she won the Chanel State Award Competition. Parto enjoyed sewing, reading, painting, and drawing. Her passion was her family, especially her grandsons and great-grandchildren.

Parto leaves behind her loving family including a son, Fardin; daughter Boddie; son-in-law Cam; two grandsons, Shawn and Alex; two lovely daughters-in-law, Crissy and Na; four great grandchildren, Cyrus, Sepideh, Caspian, and Kian; and her niece, Pari. Also mourning her loss are her close friends Jaleh, Mahaz, Firoozeh, and Soosan.
