Oliver J. Gremillion, a native of Plaucheville, LA and a resident of Donaldsonville, LA, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024 at the age of 85. Oliver enjoyed dancing the jitter bug, gathering with his friends and family, and cooking for those he loved. He was a family man and a loving friend to all who knew him.
Oliver is survived by his children: Bobby Downs (Terry), Dwight Gremillion (Melissa), Glen Gremillion, Theresa Green (Donnie), and Kathy Mouille (James). He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren: Chris (Shannon), Misty (Joey), Ashley (Zach), Rebecca (Chelsy), Chelsie, Bryce, Cameron, Julia, Joshua, Maranda, Carlie, and Garon. As well as 12 great grandchildren: Jacob, Rylee, Rowdy, Maddixx, Noah, Obree’ Anna, O’Lana, Isaiah, Brycen, Chloe, Zoe and Nova.
He is preceded in death by his wife Deanna Gremillion and daughter Rebecca Marie Boudoin. Also preceded by his siblings Russell Gremillion, Harris Gremillion, and Odell Gremillion.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the team at Amedysis Hospice, especially Beth and D’ette, for their love and care.
A funeral service for Mr. Oliver Gremillion will be held on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 818 W 10th St. Donaldsonville, LA 70346. Visitation will take place from 9:00 AM until a funeral mass beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial at the church cemetery will take place thereafter.
